We are glad you stopped by. Our brand is still fermenting, but we anticipate being ready to roll in June 2009. In the meantime, as all new neighbors should we wanted to introduce ourselves personally, so that we can get better acquainted:

The Story of Hope

Hope Ales is a marriage of polar opposites, differing views and vastly different perspectives coming together to build a future and a beer brand. The story starts with the collision at a brewery in Denver, Colo. between a funky, blissed-out Californian with the requisite nose ring and a square, white, Republican male New Yorker, at a benefit just days after September 11, 2001. Now, in the spirit of full disclosure, don’t assume that we are wide-eyed kids that don’t know any better, because we do. We have years of life experience, volumes of adventures and plenty of grey hairs as a testament of lives well lived ... and we have Hope.

We have so much Hope we are actually crazy enough to move West to East landing in New England (Rhode Island, no less), to launch a new beer brand (and business) in a suspect economy, and we are doing it as a couple. Obviously those years of experience have fostered a very healthy sense of humor. You see, we believe in each other, we believe in the American way and we definitely believe in the power of Hope. As for Prudence and Patience, well truth be told they are simply what we aspire to.

Anyway, while we approach everything from different angles, we do share passions for an active outdoor lifestyle, working hard, being part of a community, and the power of sharing a really nice beer among friends both old and new.
